How to make the transition from Hot to Cold, stylishly

Most of us are currently stuck in that awkard stage of not being able to wear summer attire, but still not able to pull out the big boots, jeans, puffer jackets and furs, hence some great transitional pieces are needed to ensure we do not look as awkward as this weather.

Get the look:

– Add some sunnies to show you are still loving the sun

-Pull out the light knits, perfect for layering and look effortlessly cool

– Add a scarf, if you don’t need it to begin with tie it to your bag but it is always good to have one incase the weather suddenly changes… NEVER underestimate the power of a scarf!

– Ditch the light bright shorts for something a little duller/darker such as leather shorts, a darker denim, or cutely tailored statement shorts

– Whip on those little boots, keep them short to ensure you don’t look like you have come from a Rodeo or off Dukes of Hazard, they are every where at the moment so look around and find a fabulous pair!

Trend to Try: The Puffer Jacket

I think at some point in the 90’s we were all guilty of loving a puffer jacket. Well the puffer is back and better than ever according to Burberry and Alexander Wang Fall 2012 RTW collection. I think many gals out there may not be brave enough to rock it, but for those who are style it like a model off duty with some leather pants, a T by Alexander Wang tee and a Alexander McQueen silk scarf, that sounds just so effortlessly cool.

For the Aussies out there your best purchase would be one of the Witchery Puffer Jackets which are quite fabulous.

Witchery $149.95

A Winter Must

Something which every stylish gal needs this winter is a Gucci Fall 2011 RTW Fabulous Felt Fadora, in a perfect jewl colour. If Karl Lagerfeld’s BFF ¬†Florence Welch does it, well we all shall simply follow.

The Gucci Fadoras are $450, which even though they are a total must may seem a little bit expensive. So look out for the great burgundy colour at Sportsgirl for $39.95 (pic below) or you may even be able to hunt down the ‘oh so trendy’ teal for $20 at Rubi Shoes.

Talk about bargain hunting!
