Trend to try: over the top suit

If I had a dollar for the amount of over the top, matching suits shown at the Fall 2012 shows, I would be very, very rich. Miu miu, Prada, Camilla and Marc and so so many more did it and think we all need to be brave and rock this attire, furthermore we will all look like those oh so glamorous fashionistas on the streets outside of the show. Feast your eyes on the pictures below…

How to wear a suit:

Option one: As a whole uniform (pretty much straight off the runway)

How to make the transition from Hot to Cold, stylishly

Most of us are currently stuck in that awkard stage of not being able to wear summer attire, but still not able to pull out the big boots, jeans, puffer jackets and furs, hence some great transitional pieces are needed to ensure we do not look as awkward as this weather.

Get the look:

– Add some sunnies to show you are still loving the sun

-Pull out the light knits, perfect for layering and look effortlessly cool

– Add a scarf, if you don’t need it to begin with tie it to your bag but it is always good to have one incase the weather suddenly changes… NEVER underestimate the power of a scarf!

– Ditch the light bright shorts for something a little duller/darker such as leather shorts, a darker denim, or cutely tailored statement shorts

– Whip on those little boots, keep them short to ensure you don’t look like you have come from a Rodeo or off Dukes of Hazard, they are every where at the moment so look around and find a fabulous pair!

Trend to Try: The Puffer Jacket

I think at some point in the 90’s we were all guilty of loving a puffer jacket. Well the puffer is back and better than ever according to Burberry and Alexander Wang Fall 2012 RTW collection. I think many gals out there may not be brave enough to rock it, but for those who are style it like a model off duty with some leather pants, a T by Alexander Wang tee and a Alexander McQueen silk scarf, that sounds just so effortlessly cool.

For the Aussies out there your best purchase would be one of the Witchery Puffer Jackets which are quite fabulous.

How to create the perfect stack of bracelets

The fashion God’s have spoken and our arms should all now be sporting a collection of bracelets… Gone are the days of massive stacks of silver or gold instead we need to channel the MODEL OFF DUTY look which basically is a collection of Africany, Bohoy, Trinkity bracelets which when worn together = perfection.

Five tips to create this look:

1. They must not be large bracelets but there still should be a variation between the sizes

2. Colour is a must, the brighter the better!

3. Different textures are fabulous

4. Watches work well!

5. Mix high and low price pieces. Try the markets for great friendship bracelets for a couple of dollars and wear them with a Links of London bracelet, to create a fabulously stylish look
